Board Certified Surgeon

If you are interested in being part of a growing specialty referral and emergency/critical care practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico, we would be interested in speaking with you.  Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center of New Mexico and its healthcare team which includes specialty care in Surgery, Neurology, Dermatology, Dentistry, Physical Therapy, Oncology, Animal Behavior, Acupuncture and 24 hour emergency/critical care is seeking applications for small animal SURGEON.  Applicants must be board certified or have completed residency training. 

VESC has two facilities, a 12,000 sq ft hospital located in Albuquerque and a 15,000 sq ft hospital in Santa Fe dedicated to specialty referral and emergency/critical care.  Our Albuquerque facility consists of 11 exam rooms, 4 treatment bays, 2 isolation rooms, endoscopy room, ultrasound room, 3 surgery suites, large in-house laboratory, in-house CT imaging, and a hydrotherapy pool.  The Santa Fe facility consists of 9 exam rooms, 5 treatment bays, 2 isolation rooms, digital radiology, endoscopy/ultrasound room, 3 surgery suites, an in-house laboratory, hydrotherapy pool and MRI.

Albuquerque is a city well known for its culture and outdoor recreation.  Located within the Rio Grande Valley beneath the Sandia Mountains, the picturesque landscape and varied terrain make it a popular place for people of all ages.  Much of the historic culture of the area can be visited both in town and within a few hours’ drive.  Santa Fe, a historic site in its own right, is known for its large variety of museums, art, festivals, music, theater, and opera.  New Mexico also offers numerous outdoor activities including ski resorts within a 2 to 3 hours drive, endless mountain biking, camping, hiking, fishing and more.    

We are seeking a motivated individual, dedicated to practicing high-quality veterinary medicine, who is willing to help continue the growth and expansion of our hospital. The ideal candidate will have a desire for clinical cases from a proven referral practice and is willing to establish a bond with the referring veterinary community, emergency clinic veterinarians and existing specialists. Board Certified Veterinary Internists

Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Centers is seeking to add a second board certified or board eligible internist to our current staff of small animal specialists.  We have two facilities less than one (1) hour drive from each other. A 12,000 sq ft hospital located in Albuquerque and a 15,000 sq ft hospital in Santa Fe dedicated to specialty referral and emergency and critical care. We offer multiple specialty services including Surgery, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Dermatology, Oncology, Physical Therapy, Dentistry, Animal Behavior and Acupuncture.  We are a 24-hour, 365 day-a-year, state-of-the-art, multi-specialty facility.  Patient care and teamwork are emphasized.  We offer the advantages of a large and growing, progressive hospital, providing a collegial work environment committed to professional support and development.

Emergency Overnight Veterinarian

Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Center of Santa Fe seeks an experienced veterinarian with an interest in after hours emergency medicine & critical care.  Our state-of-the-art hospital provides emergency services for Santa Fe and northern New Mexico and is open nights, weekends and holidays for emergencies.  Our facility consist of 9 exam rooms, 5 treatment bays, 2 isolation wards, digital radiology, 3 surgery suites, an in-house laboratory, hydrotherapy pool, and an MRI.  In addition to our emergency practice, we also offer specialty services consisting of surgery, neurology, ophthalmology, dermatology, dentistry, physical therapy, and animal behavior.

Veterinary Technician

Albuquerque Location

The Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center of New Mexico is searching for experienced full time and part time Veterinary Technicians to work evening and overnight shifts in our busy, 24-hour emergency practice. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of current experience as a veterinary technician or assistant working in a fast-paced, patient-centered veterinary practice. Your strong skills and recent work experience should require little job training and allow you to jump in quickly with both feet and sleeves rolled up ready to go. All overnight shifts receive a pay differential. Santa Fe Location

The Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Center of Santa Fe is searching for an experienced full time Veterinary TECHNICIAN to work in our busy emergency practice.  Schedules vary but generally allow for 3-4 days off per week.  The ideal candidate will have at least one year of current experience as a veterinary technician working in a fast-paced, patient-centered veterinary practice, preferably critical, specialty or emergency care.  Your strong technician skills and recent work experience should require little job training and allow you to jump in quickly to a critical care setting.
